Low Altitude Analytics

Privacy policy

Last updated: November 6, 2026

This policy explains what information Low Altitude Analytics collects through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. Low Altitude Analytics is run by Kendall Thrift.

Information you give us

When you use the contact form, it asks for:

  • your name and email address;
  • your phone number and company name, if you choose to give them;
  • the service you’re interested in;
  • your message; and
  • your agreement to be contacted about your message.

If you email or call us directly, we receive whatever you share in that conversation. Please don’t send passwords, account numbers or other sensitive details through the form.

How we use it

We use your information to reply to you, talk through your project, and keep reasonable business records. We don’t sell or rent your information, add you to a marketing list, or share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Where it’s stored and who can see it

Each message is saved privately in this website’s WordPress database, and a copy is emailed to our business mailbox. Only the site’s administrators can see saved messages. Our web host stores the site’s data on our behalf and may keep backups.

Like most websites, our web host also keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses and the pages requested, for security and troubleshooting.

Spam protection

The request form appears on our contact page and in the “Book a call” pop-up. Two checks keep spam out of it.

Google reCAPTCHA

The form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA v3. It checks in the background whether a request comes from a person or an automated program. There’s no puzzle to solve.

  • When it loads: Google’s script loads only when you open the “Book a call” pop-up, move into one of the form’s fields, or send the form. Just viewing a page loads nothing from Google.
  • What Google receives: Google’s script runs in your browser. It collects information about your device, your browser and how you use the page, and sends it to Google with your IP address. Google may also set or read its own cookies and save an item in your browser’s storage for this site. Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service cover how Google uses this information.
  • What we send to Google: to check the result, our server sends Google only a one-time code from your browser and our site’s private key. We don’t send Google anything you typed in the form, and we don’t send your IP address.
  • What we keep: we save the result of the check with your request, for example “passed (score 0.9)”. Google scores each request from 0.0 (likely automated) to 1.0 (likely a person). If the check isn’t sure, we still keep your request and look at it ourselves before replying. We don’t keep the one-time code.
  • Problem log: when the check runs into a problem, we log the time, the outcome, the reason and the score. The log holds no names, email addresses, messages or IP addresses, and it keeps only the last 25 entries.
  • How long: the result saved with a request stays as long as the request itself.

The check is part of how the form works, so it can’t be turned off while you use the form. If you’d rather not run Google’s script, or you have JavaScript turned off, please email or call us instead, using the details on our contact page.

Limit on repeat requests

The site also uses a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address to cap how many messages can be sent in a short time. It’s used for about ten minutes after you send a message, then deleted automatically, normally within a day. It isn’t saved with your message.

Fonts

The fonts on this site are stored on our own server, so showing them doesn’t send your information to another company.

Cookies and your choices

On your first visit, a cookie notice offers two equal choices: Accept and Reject. Until you choose, optional cookies stay off. Closing the notice with × also keeps them off and records no choice, so the notice asks again on your next visit.

We don’t use advertising cookies, and we don’t sell visitor data.

Necessary (always on)

These keep the site working and protect the form from spam. Choosing Reject doesn’t turn them off.

  • laa_consent: a cookie this site sets when you press Accept or Reject, so the notice doesn’t ask again. It holds only your choice, no personal details, and lasts 180 days. If we change our analytics setup and you had accepted, the notice asks you again.
  • laa_consent_closed: saved in your browser’s session storage when you close the notice with ×. It records no choice, and your browser deletes it when you close the tab.
  • Google reCAPTCHA: spam protection for the request form, described above. It loads only when you’re about to use the form, and Google may set its own cookies.
  • WordPress sign-in cookies: only for people who sign in to manage the site.

Optional: analytics

This site doesn’t use analytics today. If we add Google Analytics later, it will stay off unless you press Accept, and we’ll update this policy first. It would use cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID, which Google keeps for up to two years by default. Its advertising features and Google signals would stay off. If JavaScript is turned off in your browser, no optional cookies are ever used.

Global Privacy Control

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as Reject. The notice doesn’t appear, and optional cookies stay off unless you open your cookie preferences and press Accept.

Changing your choice

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If that stops the form from working, please email or call us instead.

You can change your choice on this site at any time with the Cookie preferences button below. If you switch from Accept to Reject, the site deletes any Google Analytics cookies straight away.

How long we keep it

We keep messages for as long as we need them to reply to you, carry out any work, and keep reasonable business and tax records. Deleted information may stay in backups for a limited time until those backups are replaced.

Your choices

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, except where we must keep it for legal or business records. To make a request, send us a message through our contact page. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under local law. We won’t treat you differently for making a request.

Children

This website is meant for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy as the website or our services change. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
